Kapplinger’s work addresses socio-economic issues and focuses on balance, order, and regenerations. Visual layers of structured imagery, shape, texture, color, and text are used to initiate dialogue concerning how we impact the quality of our lives. Kapplinger, an associate professor of art at North Dakota State University, has work in more than 25 public and corporate collections, including Thrivent Financial, the U.S. Art in Embassy Program, and the Amity Art Foundation.
