Over the course of five months’ worth of weekend travel, Miller documented the humor, places, and folk art of our state, a project that took him far from the beaten path but put him and his camera in front of some the state’s incredible, and disappearing, architecture and history. This photo is part of the resulting project, Dakota Moniker. Miller is a freelance photographer whose work frequently appears in the High Plains Reader.
