Scott’s goal with her work has been to animate the inanimate and create a shared narrative with the viewer. In this work, she deftly fleshes out the calligraphic lines and irregular shapes that came out of a snapshot, in the process inviting the viewer to reexamine the contours in an everyday scene and see that they aren’t so everyday. Scott received a bachelor’s degree in drawing from Minnesota State University Moorhead and currently works at a digital mapping company.
