Sund’s On the Road to Saint Remy is a part of the artist’s investigations into the areas surrounding the asylum in France where Vincent Van Gogh was a patient. While abstracted, the physical (and perhaps metaphorical) passage is inspired by a tree-lined road leading to Saint Remy.
