Modern Man Presents, “Andy, You Used Me”

February 12, 2010 - May 30, 2010 Xcel Energy, ArtView Exhibition

Modern Man has been creating innovative paintings and art projects in the Fargo-Moorhead community for over three decades. His iconoclastic work often comes via a variety of unusual materials and media, but they are all unmistakably his.

“Andy, You Used Me” is a portrait series of both Andy Warhol and Marilyn Monroe, who was one of Andy’s favored portraiture topics. A self-proclaimed “imaginator,” Modern utilized glow-in-the-dark paint and screen printing ink to create striking portraits of Andy in daylight that turn into an equally stunning portrait of Marilyn with the lights out.
