Adult Tours

Adult educational tours are designed for adult community groups and business organizations. Single visit art-making workshops are also available through our Experiences by Request program.

Scheduling + Availability

We require a minimum of three weeks advance notice to schedule a guided group tour. Large groups (100+) are encouraged to book tours at least six weeks in advance. To schedule a visit, please gather the following information and e-mail or call Katherine Rieck, Assistant Director of Education, at 701.551.6147.

Self-Guided Tour

Museum Admission Fee* (Adult Admission: $7.50, Senior Admission: $5)
Any group may tour the Museum through a self-guided experience. Reservations are required for groups of 10 or more.

Guided Tour

$2 + Museum Admission Fee* (Adult Admission: $7.50, Senior Admission: $5)
Guided tours are a 60-minute** experiences led by Plains Art Museum educators. Guided tour groups will engage in close looking and inquiry-based experiences in the Museum galleries. Reservations are required. Requests for specific topics will be considered by the Education Department.

* Access the Plains is a program that offers free gallery admission to any 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that works with disadvantaged people or people who have disabilities. If your agency provides mentorship, disability services, family services, counseling, or other community services, please indicate that when requesting a visit.
**Tour length may be modified to a shorter or longer experience upon request.
