Schlossman will share that background as well as her own considerable painting experience and scholarship. The painting sessions will encourage intuitive, abstract art making and include lively discussion, with the goal of producing artwork that is both sophisticated and evolved.

While living in Palo Alto CA, Schlossman studied painting with Abstract Expressionist Richard Bowman, absorbing the philosophies and vision behind his lyrical and metaphorical work. Schlossman will share that background as well as her own considerable painting experience and scholarship. The painting sessions will encourage intuitive art making and include lively discussion, with the goal of producing artwork that is both sophisticated and evolved.

Did you know artists see art everywhere they look? Campers will create a pair of artist eyeglasses and use them to explore some unusual nooks and crannies in and around the museum where art sometimes hides. From there, they’ll go to Dawson Studio to create with the eyes of an artist.
