The Artwork of David Bradley
Plains Art Museum in Fargo, North Dakota, is a contemporary art museum that owns over 3,000 works by regional, national, and international artists. This online resource features three David P. Bradley artworks from the Museum’s Permanent Collection: Chippewa Family, Native American Pow-Wow Princess in the Process of Acculturation, and Guilty of Being Indian (Mankato). Included are: discussion questions, information about the artwork and the artist, art-making suggestions, videos, and three interactive games that correspond to each work of art.
Expressions of Home
The Expressions of Home exhibit is inspired by The North Dakota Mural by James Rosenquist, which was installed in the Ruth & Seymour Landfield Atrium of Plains Art Museum (Fargo, North Dakota) in 2010. The artwork in this exhibit represents the visual musings of the meaning of “home” by five artists from North Dakota and Minnesota. The related curriculum includes information about each artist, his/her artwork, and a “challenge” to students to envision, create, and reflect as artists do.
