Mike Swenson is a singer/songwriter originally from Bismarck, ND by way of wherever he happens to be. Growing up between big cities and desolate prairie, his music and poetry tends to bring a sense of just how crazy life can be. Mixing a blend of old country/pop with a bit of a modern folk twist, he keeps things original and often a bit humorous, leaving audiences with a wanting to know how the story is going to end.


THE TICKWOOD STRING BAND • October 20

The Tickwood Stringband (known to friends and fans as the Ticks or Tickwoods) are an old-time string band based in Ottertail County, Minnesota. They have been playing music for dances and concerts around the region for over four years.  Although considered an old-time band, playing Appalachian fiddle tunes and stringband music, the Tickwoods also like to occasionally delve into Irish music.
