FMVA Constraint

Encounters/Spirituality with Nature

September 24, 2022 - January 14, 2023

Starion Bank Gallery

The Fargo Moorhead Visual Artists (FMVA) Constraint exhibition challenges participating member artists to produce new artworks that fit within a given theme. This year’s theme allows the artists to draw inspiration from works created by Minnesota artist Hazel Belvo, also on display at Plains Art Museum, with the theme of power in nature, or encounters with the natural world that brought about a life-changing realization, or a moment of reckoning. The FMVA Constraint exhibition will present some of the finest examples of local artistic talent and creativity, with artworks from numerous artists in a wide range of media.

Plains Art Museum thanks our generous PlainsArt4All members and donors, and our Organizational Partners for their support. Additional support provided by The McKnight Foundation, Bush Foundation, The Arts Partnership, The FUNd at Plains Art Museum, and the North Dakota Council on the Arts, which receives funds from the North Dakota Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.
