Join internationally acclaimed artist Anne Labovitz for an artist-led tour of her immersive exhibition Convergence: Health & Creativity – New Work by Anne Labovitz. On the closing weekend of this transformative exhibition, Labovitz will guide audiences through the artistic vision, research process, and participatory elements that shape the work.

Rooted in the holistic nature of human experience, Convergence explores the intersection of health, care, and creativity through vibrant installations, sculpture, drawing, and participatory works created specifically for Plains Art Museum. The exhibition reflects months of interviews with healthcare professionals from the Fargo–Moorhead-West Fargo region and visualizes emotional themes such as connection, love, rest, and hope through color, light, and layered text.

Labovitz’s approach—what she describes as “relational listening”—translates dialogue into visual form. Her art invites deep engagement and shared reflection. During each 45-minute tour, she will offer insight into her research, process, and materials, as well as the social and emotional contexts that inform the exhibition.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to contribute to Well-Being Wall II, a participatory installation designed to foster community expression and wellness through art.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience Convergence in conversation with the artist herself. Tours are free with Museum admission and open to all.

Deep Ecologies

For more than five decades, Rimer Cardillo’s artwork has offered a powerful commentary on the intersection of politics, economics, and ecological degradation. Since the late 1970s, his practice has focused on the devastating impacts of human activity on the natural world, particularly the alarming decline in animal species and plant life.
