A First-of-Spring Art Song Recital

March 21, 2024, 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm

FM Opera and the Plains Art Museum join forces to bring together the beauty of song and visual art in a beautiful spring recital. The event features five vocalists and a collaborative pianist from FM Opera’s 2024 Gate City Bank Young Artist Program, performing five distinct vignettes of song in the grandeur of the Plains Art Museum’s lobby. Patrons can also enjoy the current and ongoing exhibitions in the museum and the young artists will be available following the performance. Also on hand will be the new General Director of FM Opera, Curt Olds, and the new Executive Director of Plains Art Museum, Erin Shapiro. Come help us celebrate new seasons, new friendships, and a wonderful array of art & music.
