Plains School of Abstract Painting Annual Exhibition

Plains School of Abstract Painting

October 26, 2017 - February 1, 2018

Xcel Energy Gallery

Since 2011, a group of emerging and professional artists has met weekly at the Plains Art Museum and our Katherine Kilbourne Burgum Center for Creativity for a painting class led by one of Fargo’s most prominent and ambitious abstract painters, Marjorie Schlossman. The artists within the group exchange thoughts, techniques, critiques, and encompass a thriving and collegial movement of regional, contemporary abstract painting. Plains School of Abstract Painting Annual Exhibition includes recent works of art produced by members of this group, and reveals the results of this extraordinary ongoing process of creativity and teaching.
