Recent Works by Anna Johnson

February 14, 2019 - April 27, 2019

Xcel Energy Gallery

Local printmaker Anna Johnson works with a variety of media, from watercolor, ink, and collage to various printmaking techniques, to create layers that document her creative process. Through her use of collage, she employs simple texture and natural items, such as birch bark and different fabrics. The imagery used by Johnson often is inspired by the roots in her Turtle Mountain Chippewa culture, as seen in her use of different totem animals and traditional designs.
