Wellness and Access Programs

Art + Autism Workshop
Saturday April, 18, 10-11:30 AM

Art + Autism is a family/group program that centers youth with Autism in an art exploration experience. Through hands-on art experience and guided art making, we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all families and we welcome participants to come with a support person. Through activities in a selected exhibition, we will explore art, artists, and materials. Our teacher will show how to create a related art project and provide options for participants to make their artwork unique. For ages 4-11.

Sensory Sundays

First Sunday of every month from 11 AM – 2 PM
We embrace the unique qualities of all who walk through our doors and appreciate that many visitors need to explore the Museum in different ways. For individuals and families who prefer a quiet, less sensory-stimulating environment we offer Sensory Sundays on the first Sunday afternoon of every month. At each event, loud gallery sounds and bright lights are turned down and attendance is limited. Fidget bags will be available for checkout. Please contact Alatera McCann, with any questions: amccann@plainsart.org / 701.551.6119.
