Reading, discussion and book signing with Marcie Rendon, author of Murder on the Red

Murder on the Red River is a mystery novel by author Marcie R. Rendon (White Earth Anishinabe Nation). The main character is a 19-year-old Native girl, Cash, who drives trucks for farmers in the Red River Valley during the day and plays pool at night. Cash’s dreams are key to how the murder mystery unfolds. The book presents racial tensions of the region and invites a comparison to recent events. Books will be available for purchase at the Plains Art Museum Store, and a limited number will be at the downtown Fargo Public Library.
