Help from my Friends

It’s said that “Art isn’t made in a vacuum,” so, I’ll be talking about simple strategies I used to avoid becoming a vacuum cleaner salesman. One thing I know for sure, whatever path I’ve taken I owe a great debt to those friends who’ve provided support along the way. So, consider for yourself who and/or what inspires, encourages, and supports you in your life’s work, and then ask yourself how you can return the favor.

A Little Grey For Color

Donald D. Powell, a Fargo native, was a prolific, award-winning architect and a keen art collector. Powell amassed a sizeable collection of European and American modern art in an array of media. He donated much of his impressive collection to the Plains Art Museum in several installments in 1999, 2000, 2002-3, 2005-9, and 2013.
