FMVA Studio Crawl Preview

September 16, 2023 - December 3, 2023

Xcel Energy Gallery

Each year, Fargo Moorhead Visual Artists (FMVA) presents the Studio Crawl—a popular, free event that gives the community access to professional artists’ studios. The Studio Crawl is an opportunity for people to meet artists, see demonstrations, and purchase their work. As a collaboration between the Museum and FMVA, the Museum is proud to announce this year’s preview exhibition, containing artwork from participating artists displayed a month prior to the studio crawl weekend. This year’s Studio Crawl will take place on Saturday, October 7 and Sunday October 8, and over 80 artists will have artworks on view in 34 different locations.

The Museum would like to thank the Fargo Moorhead Visual Artists for their partnership. FMVA promotes and supports the visual arts through exhibition opportunities, artist talks, professional development workshops, networking seminars, critiques, and the annual Studio Crawl. For more information about FMVA, visit fmva.org.

Plains Art Museum thanks our generous PlainsArt4All members and donors, and our Organizational Partners for their support. Additional support provided by The McKnight Foundation, FM Area Foundation, The Arts Partnership, The FUNd at Plains Art Museum, and the North Dakota Council on the Arts, which receives funds from the North Dakota Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.

No Time For Despair

To say that right now is the ideal time to make art that speaks directly to the people about social justice is an understatement. Because the very nature of art is to undertake or assume the role of a healer by shading light on the human condition.
