Narrative Art tells a story. Many believe that the stories contained within and conveyed by Narrative Art bear witness to profound universal truths and aspirations in the domain of human activity and culture-making. Caribbean philosopher, Lewis R. Gordon once described art as being the “expression of human beings creating belonging in a world that really didn’t have to have us.” Come meet and join Plain Art Museum’s recently appointed Director | CEO, Erin Shapiro who discusses art’s ability to narrate and tell stories across diverse human cultures and complex social arrangements, in attempts to sustain and preserve future generations.

Generous support for Museum Uncrated is provided by Art Bridges.
