Pop-Up on the Plains

Plains Art Museum will host two new and exciting Pop-Up Virtual Art Auctions in 2021. Each will run for one week and be centered on a different medium: January will highlight ceramics and April will highlight art-related experiences.

From January 14 through 21 you are invited to bid on work from the finest local, regional, and national potters.

View the auction catalog here.

Registration is FREE for this event. And revenue raised benefits both the participating artists as well as our PlainsArt4All fund, keeping the Museum general admission free and enabling arts access for all. Winners will be notified of their status upon the auction’s closure. Items will be shipped directly from the artist to the winning bidder. To expedite this process, winning bidders will be charged a $15 processing fee to cover shipping costs.

They Promised Things to Each Other

Treaties are living documents that are "the supreme law of the land" and remain legally binding agreements that establish the political relationship between Native Nation and the United States government. These agreements have established land boundaries, resource rights, reservations; they determine Tribal Nation citizenship and outline mutual obligations.
