Gallery visit and discussion.
We will visit the exhibit Fueling Modernity at the Museum, which is focused on places affected by the extraction of natural resources, such as oil, metals and various minerals, in particular how landscapes and communities are affected. The exhibit includes photographs and artworks related to such activity in South Africa and western North Dakota. Prof. Jan Pranger from the Religion Department at Concordia College, who has done research on the extraction industry and its effects on communities in those two areas, will lead the meeting. We will visit the gallery together and then return to the boardroom for discussion. Organized by Philosophy for All.
