This annual exhibition celebrates the vision, ingenuity, and talent of North Dakota teen artists. Starting in 2014, the Red River Valley Writing Project and the Plains Art Museum partnered to serve as the state affiliate for the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. The mission of the Awards is to identify teenagers (grades 7-12) with exceptional artistic and literary talent and bring their remarkable work to a national audience. Students apply in 29 categories of art and writing, and work is evaluated by a diverse panel of professionals who look for works that best exemplify originality, technical skill, and the emergence of a personal voice or vision.
