Plains Art Museum Welcomes New Board Members

Jo Burdick, Board Chair of Plains Art Museum (Fargo) and Andrew J. Maus, the Museum’s Director & CEO, welcome and congratulate four new board members to the Museum’s board of directors. The new members lead the governance of the Museum which has representative leadership from the region’s business, philanthropy, industry, health, education and culture. Those members include:
- Simone Wai: Co-Founder, Folkways
- Rupak Gandhi: Superintendent, Fargo, Public Schools
- Jordan Craig: Property Manager, Craig Properties
- Laura Morris: Dakota Clinic Pharmacy, Owner/PharmD & Others Fair Trade Boutique, Owner/Founder
Plains Art Museum is the largest art museum in the Dakotas and Western Minnesota and is general admission free thanks to strong and growing support from over 800 households and businesses. The Museum manages a permanent collection of over 4,000 objects, organizes and presents dozens of annual exhibitions, facilitates public art projects, and leads over 200 educational programs and experiences for all ages each year. The Museum, and its Katherine Kilbourne Burgum Center for Creativity, is located at 704 First Avenue North in downtown Fargo.
