Plains Art Museum presents Spring Gala 2026: Nightmare at the Museum

Fargo, ND – You are invited to Plains Art Museum’s 29th annual Spring Gala, Nightmare at the Museum, presented by Drekker Brewing Company and Brewhalla.   

Join us on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 7 p.m. to midnight. Visual production by Livewire.

Highlights include:

• a silent art auction and conversations with the artists,

• a wine tasting by Happy Harry’s Bottle Shops,

• florals by Love Always Floral,

• hors d’oeuvres from Chef’s Table, Urban Foods, and Brew Catering,

• dessert from Nichole’s Fine Pastry and Café

• a shrine visit with Plains’ Japan Outreach Initiative coordinator, Mika,

• tarot readings by local reader Hexe Hilde,

• surprise tombola boxes,

• a photo experience by Odie Booth, and

• dance the evening away with DJ OOR.

Plains Art Museum is not responsible for any eerie visions that appear on Gala night.

What Do You Wear?

The 2026 Spring Gala Nightmare at the Museum encourages cocktail attire or creative attire inspired by nightmares and the deepest reaches of your subconscious. This is your invitation to leave the mundane at the door and wear your nightmares on your sleeve.

The 2026 Gala Chairs

The 2026 Spring Gala chairs are Mark and Alyson Bjornstad. Mark is a co-founder of both Drekker Brewing Company and Brewhalla. Drekker will be lending Plains Art Museum its disco skeleton to join the dance party. Alyson works at Bell Bank as Senior Vice President—Commercial Lender. She also serves on the Plains Art Museum Finance committee.

What Does the Spring Gala Support?

The Spring Gala supports free general admission to Plains Art Museum every day of the week, all year. When you attend the Gala, you help connect more people to art and to each other.
