Plains Art Inside & Out is your opportunity to design an art-making workshop, customized to your group’s schedule and needs, led by professional teaching artists. These experiences are offered inside Plains Art Museum’s Center for Creativity or outside the Museum at an alternate location of your choosing (must include access to water, tables and chairs for all participants). Experiences range from 2-2.5 hours. Plains Inside & Out experiences require a minimum of 8 participants.*
*groups of less than 8 participants will be billed the difference
Plains Art Inside Experiences
Held in the Katherine Kilbourne Burgum Center for Creativity at Plains Art Museum. Group will be notified when projects are fired and ready for pick up.
Pottery on the Wheel
9 years old to adult, 2.5 hours
$25 per participant
Learn basic skills and techniques of wheel throwing to create functional, one-of-a-kind vessels. Our facility has 10 pottery wheels available. Groups larger than 10 are encouraged to schedule multiple sessions.
Hand-Building with Clay
4 years old to adult, 2 hours
$20 per participant

- Grades 3 – 5: Monsters, Flower Pots, Surreal Animals

Scheduling
We require a minimum of 4 weeks’ advance notice to schedule Plains Art Inside & Out experiences. Large groups (20+) are encouraged to book experiences at least 6 weeks in advance.
